Lake Wakatipu

Lake Wakatipu is in Queenstown, New Zealand. Lake Wakatipu is zigzag and it is the third largest of the lakes of New Zealand. This is 90km long and 3 or 4km wide. Many river flow in Lake Wakatipu, but only Kawarau River flow out from the Lake Wakatipu. There are Mount Earnslaw and other high mountain on the both side of Wakatipu. The height of Mountain Earnslaw is 2819m. High and low tide happen every 25 minutes in Lake Wakatipu, and a tidal range is 10cm because of odd shape. Tidal means "Kanman" in Japanese. In Lake Wakatipu, steam ships are running every day. The name is Eanslaw. This ship consists of red and 12m smokestack, white body and the deck.
